Are you looking for more side protection on your RZR PRO XP? Well, SuperATV’s got you covered with our heavy-duty nerf bars. Today we’re gonna show you how to get them installed. So let’s get to it.
The first thing we’re gonna do is get our skid plate out of the way, or remove the center section.
We just went ahead and removed the entire center section of our skid plate. We’re gonna be upgrading anyway, so we figured there’s not a better time to go ahead and do it!
Now we’re gonna grab two of our spacers, three of our M10 bolts, and three of our flat washers. We’re gonna get some Loctite as well.
We’ll go ahead and apply Loctite to our hardware. Now take a flat washer and throw it on the bolt as well. Take this bolt and slide it through the frame. When you slide it through, make sure you slide your washer all the way forward first.
Then we’ll take our spacer and slide it over the bolt, and then add more Loctite on it. We can put our spacer on this one first, and we’ll go ahead and take our nerf bar. Start to get it lined up. We’re gonna go ahead and get our center bolt started.
We’ll just want to leave it started. We don’t want to fully tighten it yet.
We’ll move up here to the front. Next we’re gonna go inside our machine. We went ahead and removed our seat just so we can better illustrate where we’re gonna be doing this.
You’re gonna see this portion of the frame here rounded out. That’s where our bolt’s going to go through. We’ll go ahead and get our last bolt and apply some Loctite to the threads.
Take our bolt, stick it through, and line it up with our nerf bar. Then we’ll go ahead and completely tighten this one. Now go through and fully tighten the rest of them.
We just want to make sure we get everything fully tightened. Then repeat the steps for the opposite side.
Now what you’re gonna do is go back through and double check all of your hardware.
