Fiberglass matting for use in baffling mufflers and exhaust systems to assist the insulation of sound and heat. Specifically made for motorcycles with loud exhaust systems. Improve the performance of new baffles or rewrap existing baffles/tubes where matting has aged and burned out. Proper maintenance can play a critical role in the overall performance of your machine. Over time, packing slowly deteriorates which results in poor performance and higher noise levels than the was designed to produce.  We suggest repacking your every 20 – 30 hours, depending on the type of riding you do. How to Installation Wear gloves and mask while handling Wet matting to shape/cut and prevent fiberglass from getting airborne Use tie steel wire or metal zip ties to secure on baffles Ensure tight fit when packing mufflers Warning! Prolonged and repeated exposure to fiber dust (Whether ceramic fiber or glass fiber) is suspected of causing cancer and other lung damage. May cause skin and eye irritation. Because the mat is made of fiberglass, be sure to wear gloves, long sleeve clothing, and mask when installing and handling it. When you need to cut the mat, wet the mat with water. Avoid creating airborne dust, by only using hand tools.
