Warning: The tool is designed for use on motorcycle shock shock springs only. Do not use one ATV/UTV or any other application.dont compress the spring uneven, but a little on each side, just enough to remove locking plates etc and above all: DON’T put your fingers where they could get pinched.
Caution:Spring compression and removal can be potentially dangerous. always use protective eyewear when working with tools and keep fingers clear from areas on or around the spring that could pinch them.
Instructions:
1. Make sure that the spring is free of dirt and grease
2. Insert one hook in the last possible upper coil of the spring and the other hook in the last possible lower coil of the spring.
3. install the other spring compressor in the same procedure on the other side of spring. Make sure that the maximum tension distance is reached.
4. Using the wrench to hold the compressor body close to the upper hook area. With the other hand, using a 17mm wrench or a 3/8″ ratchet to tighten the compressor. Both compressors must pressure equally reciprocal.
5. Before removing the shock compressor, check if the damper plate is no longer under tension by the spring. Contents: a pair of compressor??8 spare plastic spring protectors??Iron Box
